I leave for college tomorrow. How strange is that? I’m still getting used to the idea, but I don’t think it will hit me until I’m there and moved in. I will be a student at Gallatin, NYU’s small school of individualized study. Formerly known as the University Without Walls.
Gallatin enrolls less than 1200 students and we have the opportunity to take classes at all of the different NYU schools. Awesome!
So, the college is a very small school within a huge university. As a Gallatin student, I design my own major. I am planning on studying poverty, community health, and social change through media.
But, I am not a city person at all. In fact, I am worried I may hate it. At the same time, I love the diversity the city brings! We’ll see how it goes… I can’t wait to meet my roommates Lauren and Katarina. We’re living in cheapest NYU dorm, which happens to be on Fifth Ave right at 10th street!
Eeeek!!! Here I go!
