OK — I am trying to play catch-up with my pictures. I find that if I don’t share my photos here, they languish away on my hard drive and nobody (including myself) ever sees them again!
It’s now January 2018, but I have some free time, so I’m going back and sharing moments from 2017.
Every year the amount of time we manage to be all together gets shorter and shorter and so these days become all the more precious.
This year (besides the winter holidays) the only time we were all in the same place was for my cousin’s wedding in Nashville, TN.
We arrived on Friday in time for a lovely dinner at a rooftop bar (which is truly the best kind of bar).
This first picture up above shows the 6 of us with Sydney, the bride, squeezed in between me and my sister. Do we look related or what?
And then the wedding day!
The wedding was held at the Frist Museum in downtown Nashville. In the last few years, my brothers and cousins have made Tennessee home. This is super convenient when we all convene in Kentucky in the summer, and it was a lovely place to visit in early June to celebrate my cousin’s marriage!
After the ceremony, we got to walk through and admire the art. There’s something so special about walking through a museum alone in formal attire. 🙂
As the sun was setting, someone had the good thought that we should take a family picture for our holiday card.
We rushed outside and caught the last bit of light.
And then we returned inside for dancing and food!1
