A Wild Soul

Personal Blog

1 February 25, 2017 California

Pinnacles

Last June, July, and August, I submitted applications to about 25 medical schools. I wrote at least 60 pages of essays describing why medicine, my past experiences, and my future goals. I traveled around the country for 11 interviews and by the end I was pretty exhausted.

Finally, in February, I returned to our little studio in Oakland, California!

It felt (and still feels) so, so good to be back!

We walk the lake every chance we get and hang out with friends as much as possible. We read and snuggle and cook our favorite foods and go on adventures.

A few months ago we visited Pinnacles National Park which is about two hours south of San Francisco. We began the day munching on amazing vegan & gluten-free treats at Timeless Coffee Roasters in Piedmont and then we headed south. =)

Highlights:

  • Good music and good conversation
  • Condors
  • Peanut butter and jelly on top of a pinnacle formed 23 million years ago
