Bolinas Ridge Trail at Point Reyes

if you are softer

than before they came.

you

have been loved.

– nayyirah waheed

With our move across the country coming up, we are trying to make the most of every day.

Point Reyes has been one of our favorite places to return to over the years.

Back in March we headed out to the Bolinas Ridge trailhead and set out for a few hours. We didn’t get far before stopping for a picnic of raspberries, crackers, and fancy cheeses on top of a hill — heavenly.

After we retraced our steps back to the car, we drove to Limantour Beach where we sheltered near the dunes and snuggled until sunset.

“You have been told that, even like a chain, you are as weak as your weakest link.
This is but half the truth.
You are also as strong as your strongest link.
To measure you by your smallest deed is to reckon the power of the ocean
by the frailty of its foam.
To judge you by your failures is to cast blame upon the seasons for their inconstancy.”

― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
